Today, my roommate and I finally went to the DMV to transfer our vehicle ownership title to our names. On our way out, we joked that we were now responsible for any violations involving our car. We came back to a $35 parking ticket. FML

Today, I gave my friend a ride to town so she wouldn't have to pay the $10 to park. While waiting to pick her up, I grabbed a bite to eat. Upon returning to my car, I found a $55 parking ticket on my windshield. FML

To #76: The "oh noes $35 big deal!" is to the fact that the PARKING TICKET was only 35 which it could have easily been $100+. Please read a little more carefully. Making 17.50 an hour was probably meant to be an exaggeration. To be more plain two to three hours at minimum wage would have been close enough to pay for that. which is not much at all. Just because she has a roommate does not mean she is in college. Stop assuming things that are not put into the FML. Parking laws are not (not all at least) bullshit. You are NOT the only person on the road and you are NOT the only person who is trying to ******* park in a certain area. That is why there are laws. Break those laws and you deserve to be ******* fined.
