Today, my neighbor finally password-protected his wifi. Right in the middle of my timed, online exam. FML

I don't whether you deserved this or if your life sucks lol. Maybe a little of both.

i'm sure we've all stolen wifi sometime or another. times are tough and wifi is expensive. sorry it happened. ;)

Nope. I've been on the other side of stealing wifi so I will never do that to someone else. Most places have free wifi so it is wholly unnecessary. As for it being expensive, I was paying $15 a month for 3mbps. If you need internet at home, work it into the budget.

I have never stolen WIFI. If I needed the internet, I went to the local Starbucks, or McDonalds

Penny: Hey, Sheldon, did you change your Wi-Fi password again? Sheldon: Yes, it's "Penny, get your own Wi-Fi." No spaces.

you should talk to your neighbors if you can't afford full price wifi than chip in. or Starbucks is always free

The wifi password is pennygetyourownwifi, no spaces

I'm sorry, OP. I hope whoever the test was for will understand your problem and give you another chance.

nah. that's sort of what you get when you do something wrong. you shouldn't get a free pass, it's not fair.

C'mon people, you all know you use your neighbors wifi too

Nope. I actually pay for my WIFI through my cable company

Ya know, sooner or later stealing wifi will be a crime, as much as stealing something tangible like a car. YDI. You can't depend on someone else's router, or their bills being paid!

It's lame that so many people think you should already have your own WiFi. If I turn my device on in my new place and there is a good, open connection in range, you bet I'm going to use it until it isn't available anymore. So would many other people. Sorry that it cut out at such a bad time, though. d:

138 - If OP wants Internet access, then he absolutely should have his own WiFi. The neighbour was asking for it by not password protecting his but that doesn't change the fact that OP was stealing from him every time he opened his Internet browser.
