Today, my mother was reading an annual Christmas letter from an old university friend. When she remarked that she could have married him instead of my father, I replied that she wouldn't have had me then. She then said, "Exactly, I could have had his daughter instead." FML

Today, I asked my mother why she had me in the first place, as we never get along. She replied because my father wanted me. So, I called my father to ask him the same question, he said he only wanted to have me to keep my mother around, and that didn't work, so I was a waste. FML

So many parents don't cherish their kids, even when the kid is a good kid, also the other way around, and then there are those who would love more than anything to give birth to a child or have a parent instead of spending their growing years in an orphanage or group home

i don't think you understand. I think what she was trying to say is she wouldn't have had you because instead of your father being your father, her friend would've been your father. Maybe I'm just too optimistic but could've been what she meant
