Today, my mother kept nagging at me because my 9-month-old daughter only calms down when I play her metal. She demands I use gospel, otherwise she will turn into a "devil-worshipping lunatic like her mother". FML

Today, my mother screamed at my brother for ages for playing a Nicki Minaj music video. She said it's "terrible, demonic garbage" that'll get us "spitroasted in Hell". I don't even disagree with the first part, but she does this kind of thing every single day when I get home from my night job. FML

Today, I was lectured by my mom who saw me trying to play on my Switch during a weekday. The thing is, she doesn't even give me any time to play in the week, and then calls me out whenever I try to get a few decent hours on my Meta Quest and Switch during the weekends. Stop dictating me; give me a goddamn break. FML

Today, every time I practice my synthesizer, without fail, my stepmom decides to make as much noise as humanly possible. Slamming doors, stomping around in her loudest heels, dropping weights, screaming, you name it. I can hear her through my noise cancelling headphones and I can’t focus. FML

Today, after being hospitalized last week due to a severe mental breakdown, my mom is still mad at me for missing her big solo at church. She had even tried to demand I be released from the hospital for it. She's still going on about how she thinks I missed it on purpose. FML

My daughter grew up listening to Iron Maiden, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Dio, and more. These bands were the Metal at the time, and just as despised by the bible thumpers. She also loves Heart (Nothing like a 3 year old rockin' out to Barracuda). She is now in University studying a double major Bio-medical mechanical engineering and Computer tech so she can help people who have and severe injury (amputation) or deformity live a better life by building a better prosthetic. (Yes, I am bragging a bit). Not a usual Satanic ambition. So let your baby Rock On.

There is nothing wrong with that. Goodness, bible thumpers like that drive me crazy. We used to listen to all kinds of music at my youth group while we were at church and as long as it wasn't saying we should worship the devil (or have lots of sex and do drugs) no one cared! We all just had fun. I'm sorry your mother is being so judge mental. Gods the only one that should judge and considering he is love that's not such a bad thing.
