Today, my brother, who I am babysitting, threatened to hit me with a screwdriver. It's one of those big ones that could really do some damage. I've locked myself in the bathroom multiple times, and he has complete control over me right now. He's five. FML

If you're baby-sitting then you must be a teenager at least! Exert some authority! Take away the screwdriver and put him on the naughty-step (or similar). Then remind him that what he's done is dangerous and make him think about how he'd feel if he hurt someone. You can't be a babysitter if you aren't old enough to be responsible for your charges.

Take the screwdriver away and duct tape him to the wall for a while. That'll show him who's boss.

You lot do realize that if the kid stabs them with the screwdriver by mistake, it could do serious harm to OP? Especially if it's in the thigh or abdomen? And that toddlers actually hit really ******* hard? ****'s sake; there are parents that wind up with black eyes, broken teeth, split lips and broken noses because their babies under two years of age hit them. Humans are fragile.

I did take the screwdriver away and he found a way to get it back down. I am bigger than him, but he is very strong and finds other things to use against me. I am not allowed to put him in timeout, but he doesn't listen to me anyways. My parents, however, did have a talk with him about it.
