Yeah, is that really better? That's what everyone is suggesting the bf of OP should have done. Having been there, #26, which would you have preferred - that he break up with you before or during the trip, or that he waited like he do?

I would have preferred the break up before we went. It is sad to think that the whole time I thought we were having fun was just a lie, and to basically have to discard all memories of the trip because they were made under false pretense

No but being dumped when a romantic getaway to the middle of nowhere was planned is usually one of the worse ways.
