Today, my best friend told me she's been in love with me for over 4 years. I'm getting married to the man of my dreams in a month and she's supposed to be my bridesmaid. "Awkward" doesn't even begin to describe our friendship right now. FML

What was she hoping to accomplish with that revelation? Clearly, you're not into her, considering you're getting married to the man of your dreams, as you said. It's more likely that this is her attempt to shake off her feelings by admitting them to you. She knows you won't reciprocate and she probably wants to get it off her chest before the wedding. Even though she knows the outcome, it will comfort her and heal quicker knowing that she "tried" Don't write her off completely, she can still be a good friend.

Maybe I'm being insensitive but why didn't she tell you when you were single? I hear stories all the time about people being alone then as soon as they find somebody, people come out the woodwork to tell them they have feelings. But I do understand how hard it is to tell someone you have feelings for them. Especially a friend. #FBothYourLives
