Today, my 2-year-old son put his hand on my face, gave me a sweet kiss, and put his cheek against mine. Then he slapped me hard enough to leave a mark, laughed, and scrambled away. FML

He's a reverse sour patch kid. Sweet. Sour. Gone.

Did you punish him?! Had I done that when I was little I would get timeout and a whopping

Kids are lacking disciple. You should make a chart for every time he does something bad put him in the corner to think about it. Every 10 time he is good reward him.

You're right, but "kids are lacking disciple" cracked me up.

Hoped you discipline him instead of thinking it was cute and letting it go

I have the same question a couple of other commenters have...has he seen daddy do that? If so, OP, it's YOUR fault. In my mind, exposing your child to that kind of modeling is abusive.

He's 2, find something else to complain about

time to teach ur kid to respect parents.

Well someone needs to put baby in the corner

But nobody puts Baby in the corner!

did you give him a mark to match on his butt

Kids are mean sometimes. When my brother was about 5-6 years old. He took my hands and rubbed them as if warming them up. He said "Now your hands smell like roses!" Of course, I smell my hands. then he smashes them into my face and gave me a nose that hurt for a few days.

Cute and innocent then bam a complete 180...looks like a little discipline is in order...
