birth control doesnt always work me and my husband were using condoms and i was on the patch and i still got pregnant and just because shes 16 doesnt mean she is going to have a horrid life and neither will the baby ive seen plenty of teen moms who do ahell of lot better taking care of babies then adults do not sayin its not her fault but did anyone think to look at her parents maybe they werent there and werent close enough to sit down and talk to her about sex or anything for that matter i work for a teen outreach program for pregnant teens and i have meet some parent that are horrid that are to wrapped up in thier own lives to even care that they have their own kids to look after just remember OP that your life is no longer yours your going to be a mom and that means no more parties and every dollar you make is going to that baby and if you need help or advice you can message me

For those who don't know certain medications can cause the pill (certain brands) not to be effective. Antibiotics will do that, I got pregnant while on pill got sick, was taking antibiotics while on pill, and they didn't explain that to me, I found out later when they asked what medications I was on and if I was on birth control at the time. it was a slight over site by doctor who prescribed antibiotics, but it happens. I'm just sad that at your age you are in that situation at that age I was more into sports and school to get into college that worrying about guys, let alone sex.
