Today, I was sitting in my room watching TV when I heard my mother obnoxiously yelling for the dog. Minutes later she stomped into my room, swatted me over the head, and yelled at me for not answering when she called. She actually got my name mixed up with the dog's. FML

Don't feel like the only one OP! I'm sure many people have had the same problem. My mother went through my entire family's names before saying my name right.

hahaha,that's not even that bad. my mom goes through everyones name but mine. then she finally gets it. my one brother even lives in Texas and she calls me that.

Lol 55 - the person you're talking about wouldn't even remember they had a kid, let alone what the dog's name is. OP, that's rough but did she apologise at least afterwards? Surely that kind of thing is pretty uncommon even though it does happen (my mum has two dogs, so this happens twice as often

Happens to me daily, my little brother is an EXACT replica of me and my mom gets our name wrong all the time. Now she's just yells "boys!" and when she says that, one of us had better show up! ;)
