Today, I was helping my friend put up a wooden fence at his new house. I was holding the sections of fence up while he nailed them in with an air powered nail gun. The gun malfunctioned and fired twice putting the second nail through my hand and into the wood. We had to pry the nail out. FML

Good deeds never go unpunished. But now you're Jesus :D That must have hurt a lot, though. :(

omg that's what I thought of when I read this, too!

I immediately clicked "YLIF" after reading "...air powered nail gun"

That's the original version of what is now "I agree, your life sucks." YLIF stands for Your Life is ******.

its not as bad as a nail thru a tendent in ur foot

Holy crap! Stigmata! I dont remember if we're suppose to worship you or get you an old priest and a young priest....I'll go to Blockbuster, watch the movie and get back to you on that. FYL

Know how you feel. i had a nail go pretty deep into the bottom of my foot once. safe to say i never walked barefoot ever again. fyl

This is definitely the fault of you and your friend. A nail gun is like any other gun. You don't point it at anything you're not willing to shoot. Obviously, your hand was too close and IN FRONT of the gun. Idiots.

Baw, suck it up. Had similar happen. Gotta roll with it. At least now you have a pretty sweet scar. AND a fun story. Oh, and now your friend owes you a beer. =D

I've been shot with a nail gun a couple times. gotta watch that bump fire, it'll get you every time

Hard way to learn to hold behind the work and to stay clear of the gun eh? You can never trust wood to catch the nail, I shot thru a 2x4 and nailed 3 fingers together once. Lesson Learned.

Have you tried turning water into wine following this incident? just saying... might be worth a try :P
