Today, I was awoken by the sound of my pet lizard eating my other pet lizard. FML

Duckzy tells us more.

Hey guys, OP here. I just wanted to say a few things, first off, I was awoken by the sound of the lizards running around in their habitat, not by cries or crunches or whatever. Secondly, the lizards were the same size and opposing genders so I was told to put them together by the person who sold the lizards to me. Lastly, unfortunately by the time I got to them, the other lizard (Female in case you were wondering) was already half inside of the other's stomach.

Oh how sad. But you know what they say: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Yeah, that's a pretty common thing with some reptiles. Poor lizard :(

Dez flicks his forked tongue provocatively. Liz moves her little tail around to further excite him. He starts slow, but works her up to a fevers pitch flicking faster, then even faster as she moans loudly with passion.

Yeah your life sucks, but it sucked a lot more for that lizard. Sorry OP, that's pretty traumatic.

Maybe if you fed them more they wouldn't eat each other?

My hamsters did that to each other....

Reptiles are Opportunistic. Period. Always house alone. Ten minutes on a proper forum would have told you this. YDI. And you're an idiot for causing loss of life to an animal. Signed- ReptileMama of 30

THANK YOU. The whole time I'm wondering what lizards they were keeping together in the first place.

I kept my two snakes in the same enclosure for years and never had a single problem ? I wasn't even aware that I shouldn't do that... They curled around each other all the time

I always see reptiles housed together in pet stores.
