Today, I saw an old homeless man who had just fallen down due to his drinking. Everyone laughed at him, but I felt bad, so I went to help him up. My reward? A quick punch in the face, landing me in the hospital. FML

people, you can't just jump to the conclusion that homeless are drunk, lazy, drug users. obviously, some of them are, but there's a good amount of people who are hoeless because they got laid off, and it all went down hill from there. if your source of income got laid off, and no one could find a job, where do you think you'll be in a couple months?

a lot of homeless people r mentally ill and can't reason what is going on. mentally ill ppl who have nothing often turn to drugs then they r even more dangerous

A lot of homeless people are 'crazy' because they have a chronic mental ilness like schizophrenia that has been treated in a clinic or so but the aftercare isn't good enough to make full rehabilitation possible. So they stay on the streets alone, and don't take their meds because of the miserable side-effects. In this way they get psychotic again and have to be treated AGAIN. so, in this way its a never ending circle

sigh... Untouchables/Dalit is not the same as homeless. I understand that being Dalit and being discriminated against might lead to homelessness, they are not equivalent.
