Today, I saw a girl I knew from high school at the DMV and she started leaning forward. I thought she was leaning into hug me. So I just began to hug her. She was actually trying to throw something in the garbage. FML

Today, in a crowded hallway, I saw the guy I fancy standing in front of me, with his arms open wide. Thinking he wanted to hug me, I wrapped my arms around him and stepped back. He looked at me like I was nuts. I then realised he was trying to hug the girl next to me. FML

What you do is never try to hug someone, especially if it's an iffy situation. Then if they are trying to hug you, it becomes their FML.

It happens.. happened to me with my auntie, I had just put on a cloak to try it on (as you do) and she reached forward so I automatically went to hug her back, she was actually just adjusting the cloak...

I know how you feel the same thing happened to me at the mall and it was really embarrassing! that's why now I avoid that person and make sure not to make any eye contact when I see them at school or outside of school.
