Today, I met my neighbor. When she saw me cutting down trees on my lot, she interrogated me and called the police because she didn't believe I owned the property. She didn't call the cops when she watched someone steal a cord of wood from my property two days ago. FML

Pretty she's one of those "Save The Trees" type of people

Considering you just met your neighbor, I think it may be a fair assumption to think she thought the guy that stole the wood was her neighbor. If she thought the thief lived there, she wouldn't have reported, which is what she did. All in all, I don't think your neighbor is to blame for your loss of wood, OP.

I cord of wood is a lot of wood! I find it hard to believe someone just came along and stole all of it

Someone needs to tell her that poking her nose in is not oaky.

I really hope you called her on that.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you are a person of color and your neighbor is white

What's a cord of wood? If she did that with trees you might want to be careful with lawn work...not that you should really give a damn about her option what you do on your property...

A pile of wood that's cut 4' that's 4' high by 8' wide it's a LOT of wood probably half of what's needed to heat a very small house for the winter. Large house I think it's like 5 cords. So if you heat by 2 means that may have been his entire 2nd source of heat that would last until summer.

Depending on the area it's probably also worth quite a bit of money. Maybe OP wanted to sell it and get something nice? Or conspiracy theory the neighbor sold the cord of wood themselves.

I can't even make a comment on the guy cutting down trees? The lack of freedom of speech in this site is appalling. You have lots of growing up to do FML...
