Today, I lost my phone. I called the number from my friend's phone, hoping I could find it. A guy answered, laughed "Thanks for the phone!" and hung up. FML

The major New Zealand telcos have introduced the blacklist/shutdown thingummy now. Get in touch with your service provider ASAP and ask them about it.

If its an iPhone use your friends phone or iPod and lock it then he can't even reset it and you can track it and call the cops

I don't get why people do that, thats why i configured mine to convert all it's battery life into a fully charged Ly-Ion battery remotely, if it gets taken just one flip of the switch and it basically becomes a bomb

This is why I like Google Device, it let's you erase your device and turn it off, therefore rendering it useless basically, works with tablets too!
