Today, I just bought a car with all of my own money. Then, when I brought it home my dad informed me that my mom will be driving it to work every day. FML

you tell your dad no she wont... its your car u bought it with ur money... unless she's going to make the insurance payments on it for u and full cover it so if she wrecks it she replaces it

ok OP the answer to your father is NO, second off children don't owe their parents squat, children didn't ask to be born we want to raise self sufficient children how dare a parent think they have a right to take what OP has worked their as* off for and delegate it to another human being this is not spread the wealth it's owner is who paid for it, call the police if either touch it and they are parents and should have more $ and have their own cars SMDH parents like yours are what's wrong with these bad AS* kids robbing, murdering and drug dealing congrats OP on saving your money and buying what you want you seem more responsible than your crappy parents

I wouldn't hesitate to let my parents use my car. They have done a hell of a lot more for me than just letting me drive their cars. OP- your mother gave you life and raised you and you can't let her drive your damn car?? selfish ass kid.

Congratulations, you and your parents did what you were legally obligated to do for the CHOICE you made, you want a medal? When you choose to have a kid, you're accepting the responsibility of caring for them in every way, necessities, luxuries, etc. So you don't get to hold it over their head like a manipulative jerk. That's being selfish. It was your choice to give them life and raise them, they had no choice, so they don't owe you shit. Don't want to spend money or time on kids, DON'T have kids. Also, so parents can control things with the money they've spent, but kids can't? Hypocritical, much? Guess what, their money, their property, THEIR say.
