Today, I found out the tattoo symbolising my marriage turned out to be more permanent than the marriage itself. FML

I did the same thing with my first girlfriend. I tattooed her name (ANN) above the word LOVE, on a flaming heart background. When we broke up, I was stuck with it on my forearm. After a few weeks, I decided to get a new tattoo that incorporated the old one; now, people think I'm the world's biggest Danny Glover fan....

A tattoo based on someone in a relationship is a death sentence.

That's a matter of opinion. There is no "curse". People could choose to do that as a symbol of that chapter in their life. No biggie.

What the hell is wrong with you people? How come more people said YDI? This is actually really sad and no one deserves this kinda thing.

I was thinking that, like what now? It's not his fault, it'd be a YDI if it was like 1 month relationship, but marriage, he don't deserve that. FYL op :/

Ya you should incorporate the tat into a new tattoo related to your next husband - like 12 says

what 13 said, you should almost never get a tattoo symbolizing a relationship because you never know if it could go wrong

I also agree with #4. So many people have made that mistake, join the club. But seriously.... number 4 has a decent idea there, or there's always laser removal if you want it gone that badly.

That's why you don't get a tattoo that represents someone you love....or their name...that's the worst thing to ever get... YDI

13 is right. The tattoo cursed it. I bet if you didn't get the tattoo the marriage would have lasted Hahahahahahaha 12 that's amazing
