Today, I found out that the so-called vegetarian soy sauce my mom has made for me several times has minced meat in it. FML

Meat is murder, tasty, tasty murder.

#38, though that is often true when it comes to veganism I can assure you vegetarianism can be one of the most healthy diets possible for most people. Iron doesn't just come from meat, it can also be found in green vegetables, certain fortified cereals and other non-meat products. And #44, if you are purely carnivorous I expect you are incredibly ill right now. Not trying to give you both a home ec lesson, just educating. *waits for abuse* Anyways, OP, sure it sucks accidentally eating meat if you're a vegetarian but it's hardly that big a deal, it can happen to a lot of us, especially when being served meals by those uneducated about what vegetarianism actually is.

actually red meat is worse for you. it's harder for your body to digest it. so not eating red meat is the smarter choice.

not all minced meat mixtures even have meat in them anymore, check the container to even see if it has any

I'm sure there are other times you've had meat without knowing it. When you go out to eat, there is always the chance that your meal really does have meat in it even if it is supposed to be a vegetarian meal.

Being vegetarian is hazardous to your health. you're not receiving some of the important minerals your body needs, like iron. you're left taking vitamin pills to make up for it and I assure you that's not the safest choice. but really, just take it like a man.

@38 iron is a "trace" mineral meaning we only need a small amount of it. you can get your daily needs in legumes, dried fruits, and leafy greens to name a couple, also anything soy which aslo contains protien that would also other wise have come from meat. Most soy products like silk are enriched with the vitamins and minerals that would have been missing from the diet. being vegetarian isn't a bad thing so everyone should get off their high horse

how is this an FML? Get over it. It didn't kill you.
