The OP is male so the kid isn't actually his it's his brother so his wife/girlfriend must have slept with his brother behind his back..

Shouldn't you know that your son is yours? You should of been there when your wife or girlfriend gives birth and support her. How could it be your nephew? Did you adopt your kid, not knowing it was your nephew? Well.. He's your son now, not your nephew anymore.

First of all, *should've. Secondly, just because he was there for the birthing of the kid doesn't necessarily mean that it was his sperm that helped create it.
