Asking to wash the dishes and a marriage proposal are on opposite ends of the spectrum... Pretending not to hear a request to do dishes is a common thing. But pretending not to hear marriage proposal... That's waaaay different.

if she asks you anything important just pretend to ignore her either that or you proposed at a none to comfortable time. either way she's pretty rude and should apologize to you. because that's a shit thing to do just ignore you like that.
