Today, after telling my boss how I was looking at purchasing a motorcycle, she went on a rant complaining about how if I die, she'll have to train a new employee. Thanks boss. FML

Haha no it's my third job. Funny thing is we also argue about where to store our files. I work in medical billing, and I am constantly working at one of our three offices, so I usually store my files in our Dropbox file but sometimes I save to desktop and can't access it from the other offices ? and she wants me to delete my files after I'm done with them

Is this your first job OP? I can really feel your pain. My first boss also told me something similar when I stored all my files in my local drive instead of the network drive. She said "if you die today who's going to crack the password to get the files from the local drive?". I felt really heart broken back then, but now, after 12 years and becoming a boss myself, I can only feel sorry for her and I am sure you will have similar emotions in retrospect.

When I started riding my bicycle to work with my laptop along, my VP asked how safe would the laptop be if I got in an accident. I told him if the laptop was damaged, that would be the least of my worries since I would probably be in the hospital. Thanks for their concern!
