Ugly Betty is Pretty Betty. ABC's attempt at making her ugly isn't even a good try.

Ugly Betty is pretty. The main reason she looks kinda frumpy is that she wears all the bright, clashing clothing - which obviously isn't really part of her physical appearance.

Maybe he meant America Ferrera when she wasn't dressed up as Ugly Betty? Besides, Ugly Betty is a character who's meant to portray what America thinks is ugly, not what necessarily is ugly. She's a stereotypical 'ugly girl', even though in reality, she's not all that ugly, she's a beautiful person; inside and out. so keep on being beautiful :D
