Today, already knowing that my girlfriend wanted to be "just friends", I invited her over, hoping to change her mind. She was playfully drawing on me with a pen when I noticed she'd written "Emily's property" on my leg. I said "Aw, I'm yours?" She then drew a for-sale sign on me. FML

Today, I drove 4 hours to see my girlfriend of a year, as she had asked me to stay with her for a few days. When I arrived she told me she wanted to be friends as she liked someone else, but wanted me to stay the few days so we could work on being friends. FML

i just wanna say that you'll never be able to change her mind. my ex told me the same thing 2 and a half years ago. just a couple days ago i was finally able to get her out of my life, since she was leading me on ALL THE TIME and ruining my life. i'm sorry OP, ex-girlfriends suck.

yeah who wouldnt appreciate someone youve broken up with desperately trying to cling to an already failed relationship? personally, that level of desperation would appeal to my "nawww da poor lil guy" side and id instantly take him back into my life... you realise how ******* stupid that sounds right?
