Today, I discovered that my boyfriend was planning on proposing to me tomorrow. I found out after receiving a couple of a dozen texts from friends and relatives bitching me out for not telling them. Apparently, my dad thought it would be appropriate to make the announcement for me on his Facebook page. FML

Today, my dad has gone to two different relatives’ weddings in two different states this month alone. I also found out about his big birthday celebration, his BBQ and his trip to Vegas. I saw it all on Facebook. I’ve not been invited to anything, and he never visits me. I live an hour away. FML

Today, I found out my grandfather died via Facebook, because apparently both my father and my aunt think posting a status about it immediately rather than calling family is the thing to do. FML

This actually sounds like my new step-mom. only she was 28 and my dad was 48. I didn't find out until 5 months after they had gotten married.

Well I never read my news feed, rarely. I only sign on to check some notifications (the email ones) and the links in my email go straight to them so I'm rarely on my homepage. and if he has over 100s of friends and they post often, it's likely it will be gone in a jiffy.
