Today, I'm so afraid of Covid, I lied to my friends to avoid hanging out with them every time I was invited. Yes, I've been vaccinated already. FML

honestly I would just be honest with them and tell then you're still not comfortable getting together yet, tell them you're still feeling anxious about it. if they're true friends then they'll be understanding about how you're feeling

I would do the same. I mean...i wouldn't lie about it but still avoid hanging out together closely inside and without making tests.

I'm with the honesty person, but be blunt with them. Just tell them you think they're diseased godless heathens from the fiery pits of hell on earth to spread death and destruction. Having crazy hair may help with that point also.

Show it anyway

It's not OP who's the idiot, Emily.

if you want to throw around stats here's another, 99.2% of covid deaths are the people who are not "vaccinated". also, even if that 1% death rate is accurate on a global scale that would be countries worth of people dead...

I guess your friends miss you, but if you're not comfortable yet interacting in groups, then stay safe.

I turned down a job due to covid. Was good pay but going from house to house and not being eligible to be vaccinated I decided not to keep it. Plus having a 1 year old and bringing it home to him wasn't worth it. It will get better one day.
