Nailed it

By watch_corn_dance - This FML is from back in 2014 but it's good stuff - United States - Pontiac

Today, I was being shown how to use a nail gun while applying for a job at a construction company. The instructor shot me in the arm with it. I didn't even get the job. FML

Maybe you just didn't nail the interview? Is it possible it didn't seem like you were gunning for the job? Still at least you had a shot at it.

I'm curious to know how you reacted afterwards.. Also why didn't you get the job was it bc he thought you were now injured?

OPs reactions was probably Owwww!!! holy shit!!! that hurts!!! Ow ow ow ow!!!! Why the hell did you do that???

More like "What the ****, man! You shot me in the ******* arm! Are you ******* stupid?"

Maybe you should teach the instructor on nail gun safety. Better luck next time :)

I don't suggest this a lot but you should really sue them

You can't just expect to get the job if he accidentally hurts you. I mean, you can maybe try to sue him, but if you weren't the right person for the job, you can't just expect to get it.

I don't think OP was expecting the job because he got shot. I think it's the fact that the guy didn't hire him to cover his ass cause he shot him with a nail gun..

I guess u didn't nail it! That was stupid I know but I enjoyed it

Too bad they are the same one. I thought it was funny the first time. After that, not so much.

You gave it your best shot.

call in and threaten to sue them, complain about possible hospital bills and demand compensation. you were injured on that company's property. they are responsible by law to ensure your safety no matter what reason you are there.

Not just on their property but by them. If you trip and bust your nose that's your own fault even if it's on their property, if you get shot with a nail gun on the other hand... Definitely time to do something.

That mindset is the worst. In OP's case, it makes sense, but in most other cases all it does is bypass common sense. I work at Walmart and a lady here recently tried to smell a scented lamp oil and managed to splash it in her mouth. She's getting compensated for it because idiots with that mindset would let her win a lawsuit if she decided to sue

Sue the company and you'll make twice as much Money as you would've
