Today, my best friend confessed to having feelings for me. I've been in love with her for a long time, so I was ecstatic. She doesn't see herself ever going out with me, though, because she's a couple of inches taller and can't imagine herself "towering" over her man. FML

Been there...too short (by 2") to old or young (by 6 months to 1 year)...the worst is when they tell you they can't go out with you "because their friends would stop talking to them" or say "I love you as a friend/like a brother"

Can't be made at her, everyone has certain standards. I'm 6'2" I would never date a girl taller than me. But over time people change. If he keeps trying he might be able to get her.

Give it time. She will see how height does not matter, maybe in the future we will see another fml featuring you two together. Of course if it is in fml format then that's not to good.
