Today, after confessing to my 16 year-old sister that I was only into guys younger than me, she said that was OK because she was attracted to guys in their late 40's and that an age gap was not that much of a big deal. FML

That age gap will be a big deal for her guys when they go to court. Just because a minor is "into" them doesn't excuse the crime.

Depending on where the OP lives, it might be barely legal. Pretty gross and immoral on any hypothetical 40 years-old guy who would act on it, but technically legal.

it may be a good idea to keep and eye and mental note of whom she's hanging out with. For her safety as well as friends her age thinking along the same lines
