Today I got a ticket for driving on the wrong side of the road. It was a one-way street. FML

The FML part of this sounds like s/he was driving down the left side of a one-way street, in the correct direction. If so, maybe someone had a monthly ticket quota to fill.

It’s a one way road, so unless they were going the wrong way, they weren’t in the wrong lol

That's not true. If you want to turn left from a one way street you are only allowed to turn left from the left hand side of the street. So, basically if you're using your turn signal on the left and go at it from the right, you violate traffic code, and can get a ticket if the officer is a nosy asshole.
