Today, while at work, a Beatles song came on the radio. I jokingly said, "These guys are pretty good, are they new?" Everyone thought I was being serious, and now they're convinced I'm an idiot. FML

Not knowing who the Beatles are shouldn't reflect badly on your intelligence. I know lots of people who wouldn't recognise a song by them. Yes, they were brilliant. Yes, they were famous. No, not every single person has the same music tastes. I'd never make anyone feel bad about not recognising the Beatles because, when Lady Gaga started getting popular, I had no clue who the hell she was nor could I recognise any of her songs if they came on the radio and the people I was with thought I'd been living under a rock. She wasn't my cup of tea though, so how could I be expected to know who she was? Your coworkers are just being daft.
