Gullible

Today, my parents pranked me hard. They spent breakfast messing with my head, all to convince me that I was dreaming. I got so excited at finally having a lucid dream that I ran outside in my pajamas, yelling, "Woo-hoo!" and trying to fly. Nothing happened. People saw. FML

How in the world did they convince you that you were lucid dreaming?! Not because I want to know so I can try it on my friends or anything... But actually, though, because that sounds seriously impressive

I'm really interested in what they said to make you believe you're dreaming! anyway, that makes for a funny story to tell at family reunions.

There was episode on American Dad about this. Steve saw a red ball whenever he lucid dreamed so maybe op had something similar that happened every time they lucid dreamed and their parents found out. I've never lucid dreamed before so I honestly don't know how real it feels

This is actually a really dangerous thing to do. You shouldn't mess with people's minds like that.

actually it is, in my lucid dreams (I've had about 3) I usually figure it out then kill someone I hate the most. CUZ hey, it's just a dream. tricking someone into doing that irl can be bad, so no, you are the moron.

Part of it was because op has never had one? He was excited to have 'finally' had a lucid dream. If you're a consistently lucid dreamer you understand how to distinguish said dreams from reality. I lucid dream all the time and that sort of prank would never work on me: in dreams both sensation and the weight of your my body is different than it is irl....

I always see myself in 3rd person in my dreams, that's how I know I'm dreaming. I don't know how OP could fall for that. Unless it's different in lucid dreams.

If you look up at the ceiling, it spells gullible.

My teacher's ceiling tile actually has gullible on it and he tells kids it does, but they refuse to look up and believe him thinking it's a joke

Did you hear they took gullible out of the dictionary? "Again?"

Sharing is caring OP! Tell us what they did to convince you that you were dreaming so we could....ummmm (not) use the same technique... *laughs nervously*

haha you seem like a fun friend to have!!:)

Your family sounds really awesome! Random people who saw this will forget it soon enough, but your family will have a great story for generations. So cool!
