Today, my friend pointed out that I’ve developed crushes on my last two bosses. I didn’t have the heart to tell her that before then, I had a secret crush on a professor back in college, too. Yet, I wonder why I’m single. FML

Sounds like you're single because you're attracted to a specific idea of a person, instead of actual people. Every single time you've been interested specifically in people who were in authority positions over you.

All you have to do is look for someone in a position of authority who isn't your boss, or a former teacher. Think about someone like a soldier, a guy/girl in the emergency services, or even someone who is management in a place you don't work.

I don't see the connection. Authority figures will often date their subordinates. It's dangerous, but lots of guys think with their dicks.

From the phrasing of this FML, it seems like you know why you're single. Why not try to do something about it? It sounds like you might have a complex, all these people have power over you and dont treat you like their equal... Thats not a good basis for any relationship.
