With all do respect - if any - your mother needs to learn about time and place. I realize her insights may be valid, but for godsake! You are in love! If she cares about you, she wont object. As goes for the in-laws, they were just added wood to the fire. I hope you two are reunited, without parents. No wedding perhaps? Just a ceremony and license?
Well, considering that's when said question is asked, I'd say that is EXACTLY the time and the place to voice your objection. Or are you not allowed to answer a question where you live? :P
You can just elope if your families are going to be such a bother.. Or you could even invite the ones you wouldn't mind there, but not tell the ones that will be trouble.
Next time just elope.
ELOPE! you can still get all dressed up, and at least you will be married ... although legally I do not think the minister is able to skip the part asking if anyone has a reason for you not to be married ...
That line should be removed permanently
why is it that everyones family members on this site are total asses
Because the awesome ones aren't FML worthy...
Sigh. I love hillbilly weddings!

Why not? You don't need to let foolish families ruin your relationship. Go away and get married somewhere exotic, alone. :D
Damn in-laws, or maybe in this case out-laws.
