Babbling brook

Today, I had an interview for a new position in my company. The head of HR decided to sit and I got so nervous that I just spouted gibberish for 45 minutes. Pretty sure I convinced her I’m not qualified for the position I’m currently in. FML

The head of HR sits and you loose ability to function? Sorry but you may truly be unqualified.

Some very old but still effective advice if you can manage to do it: First go on a couple of interviews for positions for jobs that you are qualified for but don’t really want - Do not tell them that, of course. Then interview for the position you really want. Everybody is nervous their first interview. A good interviewer will sense that and try to put the person interviewing for the job more at ease. With practice it gets easier.
