Today, and for the last year, I have a disfiguring scar on my nose that I’m very self conscious about. My 4 year-old niece recently noticed it. Now every time she sees me she leans in real close and says, “What’s wrong with your face?” FML

Well, just explain it to her. Kids are curious, they just want to know. And they don't know those rules about what should not be asked because someone might feel hurt or whatever.

I have a chicken pox scar on my cheek from when I had it as a baby. My cousin’s daughter once asked why I had a hole in my face. 😂. I told her why and that ended it. Try not to be offended. Kids ask questions without realizing that they’re hurting your feelings.

If you told her, she would stop asking. Kids are curious.

When my nephew was little has asked my mom if she had a baby in her tummy, because his mom was pregnant and he was curious! Little kids are just trying to figure out the world around them, not intentionally trying to hurt your feelings.
