Bad boy
Today, I noticed my dog chewing on something while on the couch. It looked like a wash rag of some sort, so I grabbed it from my dog. It wasn't until after I picked it up that I noticed it wasn't a wash rag. It was a small, dead bird. FML

Autumn: Leaves and Laughter
When the leaves fall, the laughter rises. Discover autumn stories as crisp as dried leaves!
Today, I was woken up by a funky smell. My dog had eaten a dead bird and thrown up all over my bed and floor. At 4 o'clock in the morning I had to clean up regurgitated bits of bird, feathers, blood and dog food. The smell still hasn't gone away. FML
Today, I found a dead bird on my windshield. Thinking I was clever, I turned on my windshield wipers to get the bird off. Unfortunately, the dead bird fell through my open window and onto my lap. FML
Today, I was walking my dogs when I noticed one of them had found something, and was eating it. After my command to "drop it" went unheeded, I took it upon myself to scoop it out of her mouth with my finger. After getting it all over my hand, I realized it was a piece of another dog's poop. FML
Today, I was jumping on every crunchy leaf on the sidewalk. I went especially far out of my way to step on one only to notice it didn't crunch right. I looked closer, it was a dead bird. FML
Today, my pet bird died. He had caught some illness and had been extremely sick for the past few days. He didn't die from the illness though. My dog ate him. FML
Today, I decided to snack on some M&M's. I saw my dog sniffing something and realized one of my M&M's had fallen on the floor. To prevent my dog from eating the chocolate, I hurriedly snatched the M&M off the ground and ate it. When I bit down, I realized it wasn't an M&M. It was a dead beetle. FML
Today, I heard my dog chewing on something. I called her over, held out my hand, and told her to drop it. She dropped it into my hand, and I was proud of her. That was until I realized it was cat poop. FML
Today, I noticed my shower drain wasn't draining well. I cleaned it out, thinking it was just a rat's nest of hair. Wrong. It was an actual dead rat. FML
Today, I discovered why my pet bird has been hiding behind my couch pillow lately. It's not because she was nesting, as I thought. She's been secretly tearing apart the whole couch from behind there instead. FML
Today, I came home to find that my sweet kitten had gotten out and dragged a bird inside, where he ripped it to shreds. I found the bird's head in my underwear drawer. FML

It happens to my friend all the time. So she cut down the huge tree she had in her backyard and no dead birds have been dragged in, by her dogs.

#1 Empathy is the word you wanted. Don't mean to sound like a grammar Nazi, but the sooner you distinguish the two words the better :)

I think they both work fine, and I know it's hard to have a valid "opinion" about something like definitions, but that's my opinion :)

It doesn't quite have a life anymore.

Seriously the dog needs to get his role right! He's supposed to protect the bird from evil sylvester and Tom... Jerry is probably heart broken his pal has been eaten.

What disturbs me the most is that he mutilated it to the point where you couldn't even tell what it was at first.

The dog is a predatory animal, please tell me that no one is surprised that it is following it's nature. I know it's not fun to deal with, but it goes with the territory.

I'm not surprised at all, our dogs are great mouse hunters, usually they'll eat them or take them outside, sometimes they'll leave it on the floor though, that is disgusting!!

Dogs have instincts that have helped them to survive in the wilds. I don't think that you can ever completely train that out of animals.
Demonfish 14
Let's face it, very very few of us can train those instincts out of ourselves. It's pretty damn arrogant to think that we'd have better luck with other animals.

I know right. I found myself clubbing my man over the head today then dragging him into the bushes for some sex! Poor mans still looking dazed...

Dogs have always eaten birds or chased birds. It's just their instincts.
