Today, my 11-year-old son and I were going through some old photos. He saw one of me when I was 22 on a beach, wearing a bikini. He said "Wow! Who's that?" Quite proudly I said it was me. He looked at me and said "What happened?" FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my son was looking through old photos and showed me a picture of myself and asked who it was. When I told him it was me, he responded by saying "But mommy, the lady in the picture is not fat!" FML
Today, I uploaded a photo of myself at the beach on Facebook. The first comment it got was "Wow!! If I was 20 yrs younger, oh boy ;)". Yeah, thanks for that, grandpa. FML
Today, my boyfriend of seven months and I were looking at some pictures on his iPad. I saw a picture of a kid of about two years old that looked a little like him. I jokingly said, "What, is that your son?" Imagine my surprise when he said that it was. FML
Today, my mum and I were walking down a road where we met an old neighbour who recently got divorced. Her son who we hadn't seen for about 10 years was with her and he looked very handsome. I said, "oh wow ! your son has grown up so much !" The woman replied, "this is my boyfriend." FML
Today, one of my elderly swimming students ran into me at Walmart. Being a polite teenager, I said hi to him. He looked at me surprised and said, "Oh dear! I didn't recognize you with your clothes on!" I'll never forget the look on his wife's face. FML
Today, I went to my high school reunion. Someone walked up to me and said, "Wow, you look so different!" She then followed it up with, "You used to be so pretty, what happened?" FML
Today, my boyfriend admitted to me that the picture of "him as a baby" is really his son. FML
Today, I was showing my hair-do from my high school prom from 10 years ago to a drunk neighbor. He turned to my mom and said, "Wow, she was a beautiful girl back in the day." Right in front of me. FML
Today, we spent the day with my grandmother. During a family conversation, my sweet little grandmother looked me up and down, and without any hesitation said, "I remember you being so beautiful," before looking at my mother, mouthing, "What happened?" and laughing. She's 87. FML
Today, I was playing with my kid cousin outside. It was warm, so I was wearing my new bikini, and felt pretty good about myself. She suddenly turns to me and asks, "How come your tits are so small when you have such a big belly?" FML

I have 2 kids, I lost all the weight, it was not that difficult to do. That being said, I feel like I've aged 10 years in the 3 years that I've had my kids. Very little sleep, rest and time for yourself can do that to you.

The correct response to that would be,"I had kids." It's really not a big deal. Everyone looks different when they're older than from when they're younger. "What's happened," is just your 11 year old's way of saying you look different, and while he might be saying you look worse, it isn't completely necissarily the case. I mean, sheesh, he's eleven!

That's not much of an FML, I still think you shoulda thought of that as a compliment in a way. He thought you looked good when you were younger and I guess it should give you motivation to look that way once again. So maybe you are just over reacting, but age does horrible things to the body. I mean it does make you more immune to H1N1, but that's about it.

You should have taken out a picture of him as a baby and said "What Happened?" It's no big deal anyway your son thinks you looked good ^_^ Kids never know what they are saying anyway
