What new hell is this
Today, I found out my anti-depressants are super-effective. So effective, they affect things they aren't even supposed to. Like my ability to pee. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I recently started taking some antidepressants and they have been working really well for me, except for the fact that they have made me crap my pants twice now. Both times in public. FML
Today, I learned that Nyquil has such an amazing effect on me, that it won't even allow me to wake up to go to the bathroom. FML
Today, after a week of being tired and depressed, I realized my bottles for anti-depressants and muscle relaxants had gotten switched around. FML
Today, I learned that an antidepressant that works too well is a stimulant. I've been jittering and twitching like a meth-head, and my co-workers are asking when Jesse will be showing up with my "stuff". FML
Today, my new antidepressants finally kicked in. I switched to them to try to control my anxiety. Turns out that the most common side effect, funnily enough, is nervousness. Guess I should've done more research. FML
Today, I was dismissed because of my company's strict "no drugs" policy. Yesterday, I had a talk with my team leader and confessed that I have to take antidepressants; this arse then reported it to the management, and they fired me because they are not aware of what these pills contain, and it could affect my performance. FML
Today, after 4 months of severe depression, I finally found an antidepressant that works. The downside? I no longer have any interest or gain pleasure in any of my hobbies. FML
Today, I found out the medications my doctor gave me for depression are making me fat. My main reason for depression is an eating disorder. Now, I'm fat instead of just thinking I am. FML
Today, the water was shut off, so I had to wash down my anti convulsants, anti depressants and sleep aids with an old, flat, non-alcoholic beer from the night before. I don't think I've ever had a more mentally dysfunctional cocktail. FML
Today, my credit card got declined while I was buying anti-depressants. FML

Well, on the bright side, you can devote all that time spent not peeing to being not depressed :D But seriously, call your doctor ASAP. Anti-depressants can have all sorts of weird side effects; I took one that made me forget an entire day. I aced a test, attended and participated in several classes, and finished two major homework assignments, but when I woke up the next morning I thought it was still Monday.

Same happened here. Only, it wouldn't let me doo doo. Change meds, asap. Good luck, OP.

If it's also a stimulant it could be making them have to pee more. If it isn't, less. Either way it sucks and I'm so sorry OP. I hope the side effects goes away soon.

On the plus side, you shouldn't be depressed about not being able to pee...

give it time and if you don't pee soon or if this problem comes up more once you DO pee, see the doctor who prescribed it.

It's true that some people are in situations which make them unhappy and cause depression and a chemical imbalance. Then there's people that have great lives and used to be very happy but have a chemical imbalance. I was the latter. I was 12 and everything was going great in my life, great family, great friends, everything, but I couldn't figure out why I was so down and didn't want to participate in the things I used to love. I went on antidepressants and I tried a few different ones before I found the one that worked. After finding the right meds, my entire life changed! I was a completely different person. Then I would start to feel a bit depressed again, and I knew it was time to increase my meds. After staying on them for several years, I found that I could go off my meds and no longer had depression. Thankfully, being on the meds had corrected my chemical imbalance and I no longer needed the pills.

Nice use of "effect" vs "affect"
