Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I got tipped more than I have in my bank account. It was $5. FML
Today, I was doing takeout orders at the restaurant I work at. I spent a long while putting together this guy's $135.00 order. When he finally got there to pick it up, I told him to fill out the credit card slip. I looked at it after he left. He gave me a 40 cent tip. FML
Today, at work, 5 minutes after I'd sent my help home, we got an 83 dollar order. I'm the only cook. FML
Today, I was waitressing for a huge family. Their bill was $750. Excited about the tip, I was shocked to see only $0.50. As they were leaving, I threw the two whole quarters at their heads. Guess who also got fired today. FML
Today, I got a lot of tips at work, but little did I know our boss takes it out of our paychecks. FML
Today, I was the only carhop at work for the last 2 hours. In that time, I waited on about 50 cars. I make server pay so I depend on tips, but none of them tipped me even a penny. I averaged under $3 an hour tonight. FML
Today, I received a tip in Monopoly money. FML
Today, I thought I was having a nice day at work, until I had a client who paid me $376 in rolls made of 0.05 and 0.10. It took me an hour to count. FML
Today, I worked for 4 hours and made $28.00. I have $1500 of bills coming due soon. FML
Today, I was at my work. To urge people to be generous, I paid my friends to put 15 bucks in the tip jar while saying how great I was. He did this about ten times throughout the day. Turns out, us employees don't get to keep the tips. FML

Something is amiss here. Either your service is really horrible, the staff is ripping you off or you cater to cheap-bastard clientele. All signs point to new job and/or new field.

Is management hoarding tips? What did the other staff get?

Tips are a bonus. Not something you should expect anyways

Most people realize that people who wait tables live off tips alone. unless my service is absolutely horrendous, I always tip. people are cheap asshats and you sound like one of them
