Today, without telling me, my mom dropped me off at my grandmother's house, and drove off. Now I'm supposed to spend the next month with her. Guess she forgot my grandma died six weeks ago. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, it's been a week since my mom left me at my auntie's, she just called to tell me she took a job abroad. I think I’m an abandoned orphan. FML
Today, my parents tricked me by claiming we were going on holiday, but stopped at grandma"s first, "just to say hi", then left me there with my bags. They dumped me with grandma and went on holiday without me. FML
Today, my mom asked me to help pick out clothes for my grandma to wear in her casket. I didn't know she'd died. FML
Today, the day after my grandfather's funeral, my grandmother informed me I have 30 days to move out. I've been living with them for four years, helping take care of my sick grandfather. She's already changed the locks and won't unlock the door. FML
Today, my mom hasn't talked to me for 5 days, so, worried sick, I called my grandpa. She's been in jail, and no one cared to inform me. Great. FML
Today, while at my aunt's funeral, my grandma who has terrible memory loss asked me whose funeral we were at. I had to explain to her that her daughter had died. FML
Today, at the end of my great grandmother's funeral, her daughter (my grandma) told me and my mother that she doesn’t have a reason to come back and visit anymore, and that everyone in her life is now gone. FML
Today, I went to visit my aunt who lives 6 hours away from me. Her car was missing from her driveway, but she's unemployed and barely leaves the house. Turns out, she moved in with her new boyfriend and didn't tell anyone, so I had to drive 6 hours back. FML
Today, I told my grandmother I was planning a trip to take my newborn son to meet his great-great-grandfather before it was too late. She had a guilty expression on her face. My great-grandfather died 4 months ago and my family forgot to tell me. FML
Today, I bitched out my grandmother, who lives with my family, for being lazy and laying in bed until 6-7pm for the past month. When I was done, she told me she had been diagnosed with cancer and was depressed because of it. Nobody had bothered to tell me. FML

WHAT??? I don't see how this is at all possible! You couldn't turn to mom before you got out of the car and say, "But mom, granny died six weeks ago." You just went along without question... Is this standard practice in your family, to let someone out of the car and just drive away? Not checking to see if the person you are visiting is at home, or even knows your coming. What if granny was still alive, but was inside, not expecting company and was getting her freak on with a few geezers from the bingo club? That's a vision that would have been burned into your memory forever. I think you and mom need to have a long talk about responsibility.

If not - does the OP have any money? Never mind if the house is even open to get in - sure they could break in but those are very important things to consider. Sounds like some severe family dysfunction going on. Is the mom in her right mind? Is she sick (like had a stroke with brain damage?) Or does the mom not care? Doubt alone time or partying makes up for these problems
