Today, while working in my pharmacy, a patient told me that he sometimes wants to jump the counter and skin me alive. He has no more refills, and his doctor is out of town for the week. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, one of my customers told me he was going to kill himself when I explained to him that I wasn't going to be able to deliver him the gallon of milk he wanted. I work in a pharmacy, dispensing medication. FML
Customers from hell
Today, while stocking the shelves, a customer demanded I ring up his stuff. I’m not a cashier and therefore don’t have a login code to do so, so I told him as such. He then pulled out a knife and threatened to stab me if I didn’t ring him up. I’m currently writing this from the ER. FML
Entitled
Today, where I work at a pharmacy, we were short staffed and running 4 hours behind. A lady came to drop off a new prescription. When I explained to her the wait time, she called the patient. I heard, "No, they don't look busy." Like, really? FML
Today, I went to my regular pharmacist of three months, and since I've always seen him on a crutch, I asked him how his leg was. His response, "Still missing". FML
Today, after over a week of trying to get a hold of my doctor for a much-needed medication refill, he finally called back. Too bad my phone got unplugged and died in the middle of the night. FML
Best prepared
Today, I called in a refill for a vital medication that I've been on since a couple of decades ago. No big deal since I called a week in advance. I then received a notification that the specific medication is out of stock at the moment, and they won't have another set ready for four days. FML
Gimme the drugs
Today, I scrambled to get out of work on the dot to go to a special pharmacy that closes at 5 pm an hour away. I arrived at 4:58. Upon reaching the door, one of the employees came and locked it in my face. Apparently, her going home early was more important than me getting my medication. FML
Today, my boss called and yelled at me because he said I was "spotted" out after I called off sick. I was out getting the medicine the doctor had just prescribed me. FML
Asshole
Today, someone at work took my delicate medication out of the fridge to make room for their lunch. Now my medication has expired. FML
Today, at work in a call center, I went into my locker to get my pain pills from a recent surgery. When I opened the bottle, half my pills spread all over the floor. My boss walked by and said, "I knew it!" FML

Skin him first, then put him on display for any other would-be troublemakers.

1 - OP can't give prescriptions to patients because he's/she's not a doctor. He/she even states that the patient's doctor isn't there. Before rushing to be first, at least read the FML properly.

was it for a high grade painkiller like oxycodone? withdrawal is a bitch. people rob pharmacies for that stuff.

"Accidentally" give him some rat poison, just like Mr. Gower in "It's a Wonderful Life." Too bad George Bailey got his wish and was never born -- he woulda stopped you.

That is terrifying. As someone who also works in a pharmacy, I can tell you that there are numerous people who are on anti-psychosis drugs that need to have their dosages tweaked a bit... Perhaps you could have given them an emergency refill if appropriate. Last resort would be to direct them to another physician in their doctor's office or to the emergency room for a new prescription. Best of luck. Be sure to let others know of his imagination.

this! if someone has been on meds, especially anti psychotics, when I worked in a pharmacy the pharmacist would give 2-3 days worth of prescriptions to get the person through til they could see a doc or us contact one at least.
