Today, after over a week of trying to get a hold of my doctor for a much-needed medication refill, he finally called back. Too bad my phone got unplugged and died in the middle of the night. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Best prepared
Today, I called in a refill for a vital medication that I've been on since a couple of decades ago. No big deal since I called a week in advance. I then received a notification that the specific medication is out of stock at the moment, and they won't have another set ready for four days. FML
Brain worms
Today, it's been several weeks, I went to the doctor for an ear infection and I still don't feel too good. It was then that I realized the doctor forgot to prescribe me medication for said infection. That explains a few things. FML
Today, I was calling my cable company to tell me how to fix my internet. I stayed on hold for almost half an hour, and then when someone finally picked up, my phone died. FML
Today, after I've been nauseous for a week straight, barely eating or sleeping, I was going to see my doctor. She then called in sick and I can't get an appointment for another week. FML
Hang in there
Today, I have been dealing with painful lymphedema and I'd finally got a doctor's appointment, but they called and cancelled last minute. Here's to another week being in pain… FML
Give me my drugs!
Today, my doctor's office called to reschedule. I hate sacrificing work time at all, but I have to have my contraceptive. The appointment had been set back once already due to insurance issues, and having to wait until November means I'm going to run out… so now I sound like a drug addict. FML
Today, my boss called and yelled at me because he said I was "spotted" out after I called off sick. I was out getting the medicine the doctor had just prescribed me. FML
Thanks, I guess…
Today, I finally had a phone call after a week of nothing. It was my mother. It was by accident. FML
Ironic, isn't it?
Today, after countless nights of no sleep and only some spontaneous naps, I was finally seeing a sleeping doctor to analyze the problem. I missed the appointment because I ended up sleeping through my alarm after not being able to sleep at all last night. FML
Today, I arrived at the doctor's to schedule surgery to find out my insurance got canceled again. I only just got it reinstated after the last time they screwed up and canceled it. It took me 6 months to get it fixed. FML

Oh shit hey this got published. OK SO UH, OP HERE. So to answer a few things: The medication I needed can only be prescribed BY HIM since it is part of his specialty (he was not my primary, but a specialist I see for issues my primary doesn't cover). I attempted asking my primary and she told me she couldn't do anything. I did go online, but because of the nature of the medication, they cannot fill it online. I had been trying to get ahold of my doctor because I am currently stuck out of town and needed to give him the address to send the written prescription to. I had spoken with his private nurse and 4 secretaries by that point, as well as sent multiple emails, so I very much exhausted all I could do from where I was. THANKFULLY, today (After another 4 days, totaling this entire endeavor at 2 weeks), I finally got the prescription! :)

Wait, you tried for a WEEK to contact your doctor and got no response? What kind of doctor is that? And did you even attempt to contact another physician? If you need your medication that bad, you should have taken other measures if your primary doctor wasn't getting back with you.
