Today, while waiting for a bus, someone started smoking at the bus shelter, which is illegal in my city. I politely asked him to stop smoking, citing the city ordinance. He just cackled and said that if I'm so concerned about the state of my health, I should start by losing 90 pounds. FML

Today, I was yelled at for smoking at a bus stop, because a woman didn't appreciate me smoking by her children. She did this while waving her own lit cigarette in my face. FML
Today, while I was on the bus to work, a morbidly obese man sat down next to me. When my stop came and I stood up to get off, he just looked at me, said with a smirk, "good luck with that," and went back to reading his paper. I missed my stop. FML
Today, some guy at the bus stop screamed at me because the bus was coming and I wasn’t wearing my mask. I was standing 25 feet from the stop finishing a smoke and there was no one around me. When I sat down on the bus, with my mask on, he stared me down the whole ride. FML
Today, I walked past a few of my coworkers sitting outside smoking. As I got a whiff of the smoke, I coughed. They immediately started to defend their habit, and I was told to "mind my own fucking business." I wasn't trying to be rude; I'm actually allergic to cigarette smoke. FML
Today, I was walking past a homeless guy while smoking; he asked if he could have a cigarette. So I gave him one and said without thinking, "Sorry, it’s a menthol, but beggars can't be choosers." FML
Today, a man in a hurry asked me for a light. Not being able to find my lighter amongst the muddle inside my handbag, I handed him my lit cigarette so he could light his. He took it from me, started smoking it and walked off. FML
Today, I was having a cigarette in a smoking area when a mother with a pram strode towards me and exaggerated a cough to make some sort of point. Reluctantly, I put it out and walked off. I then turned around to see her lighting up a cigarette, and blowing smoke all over her baby. FML
Today, I was walking down the street when I had a coughing fit. The next thing I know I'm being pushed about by a group of guys who were smoking, because they thought I was coughing deliberately to send them a message about smoking being bad. FML
Today, a homeless guy tried to light my hair on fire with a match at the bus stop. FML
Today, a stranger had a go at me for smoking while pregnant. I'm a guy. FML

Um, what do you mean why do you care? Second hand smoke is just as bad as OP doesn't want to be inhaling it. I thought that seemed pretty damn obvious.

I am a smoker and frankly...the people who don't smoke automatically feel they own every single place and can make their own rules about smoking whenever they're there. Sure, the guy was an asshole for smoking at the buss stop which is illegal, but in the same time, and this i know from experience, non smokers are never very polite to ask a smoker to stop doing it while they are around. In my personal opinion, non smokers have started a real witch hunt with the smokers and i don't think it's fair that some people have the right to boss other people for a bad habit. Since we're all fighting for a free world and democracy for everybody, i think i have the right to smoke if i want to and the people that don't to be some place else, and if it bothers them if i'm around, they can be polite about it and i'll stop.
