Today, while playing The Sims 2, I realized I had a virtual person's whole life planned out, and have nothing planned out for myself. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
My electronic life
Today, I just realized that my Sims character has a far more stable lifestyle than what I can ever have. FML
Today, I made a Sim of myself and had her work out until she was completely fit, then got her a job and a husband. Meanwhile, I sat at my desk, fat, single, and jobless. FML
Living in another world
Today, I played The Sims just so I'd know what it was like to live alone, own a home, and have a well-paying job that didn't slowly kill me from the inside out. It was the happiest I've been in months. FML
Life is life
Today, I spent a good hour playing a life simulation game so my character could go through the stages of pregnancy and labor, only to jealously cry for an hour because my character can successfully get pregnant and have a baby, and I can't. FML
Today, I woke up to find The Sims 2 running on pause on my laptop. I unpaused to find my character and my boyfriend's were no longer together. Slightly confused, I went on to find the note my boyfriend left. It said, "I hope you can take a hint." I got dumped through a computer game. FML
Today, my son was playing The Sims, when I saw him remove the door to a room and set it on fire with a Sim trapped inside. I chuckled at first, until I saw that the Sim was me. Meanwhile, my wife's Sim was happily painting in the next room, not giving a crap. All too accurate, sadly. FML
Today, I found myself crying for an hour when my recreated crush on The Sims 3 game rejected my character and ran off with someone else. FML
Happy place
Today, my husband of ten years was playing the Sims. I asked him about the house he built. Apparently, it was his dream house, and he recreated himself as a Sim so he could live in it. Then I asked him where the wife was. There was no wife. It was his happy place. FML
Today, I put more effort into getting and keeping my Sims onto a good sleep schedule in order to properly take care of their needs than I did for myself. FML
Today, not only can I not get a real boyfriend, I can't even get one on the Sims. FML

I could tell you to get off your fat ass and do something other then play sims, but then I'd be a hypocrite.

Betcha if a computer told you what to do everyday you would have a lot more to say for yourself. Either way if you're feeling down on yourself... just go read FML, you'll feel much better about yourself... uhhh I guess that doesn't work when you have to read your own story. Whatever, enjoy your megalomania and boring life

I feel ya. It's easier to plan with a Sim, though, because if you screw up... who cares? It's a virtual person! And if you screw up you can kill them as well, which is always funny.

haha i love the Sims.. major time-waster but it's addicting #56, i totally agree =]. Sims don't really have that many options, so it's easy to plan out their lives. besides, they're not real so it doesn't matter that much if they fail at life. but when they do fail, it's kinda entertaining

Lmao, back when I played the Sims a couple years ago (before my old computer with it on crashed), I was like that with every character I had made. I am so excited to eventually get the Sims 3.

why do people have to comment "you should kill yourself blah blah blah." it's so rude, and while people overreact to most insults, this is one i actually think is very offensive.

Lmao, me too. I have 'practice' families too, the ones that I make do bad things and miss work and generally slob about. Then there are the GOOD sims who do everything perfectly and live forever. :D Tbh I don't play it very often but when I do it's like... All day long. To the OP: just be spontaneous, it's okay to be a geek, as long as you see the light of day once in a while.

Not even my Sims character has a planned out life.
