Today, while I was at work, my husband threw out 50 out of my 70 T-shirts, all of my tank tops, and all but one of my sweaters. I'm not getting them back because they're burning in a bonfire in the backyard. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Workers of the world…
Today, I went into work. After three years of working 55 hours a week, they fired me by putting the contents of my locker at the front door, with a note that said "If not picked up by 10:00 am stuff will be donated." I work the night shift. I just lost three sweaters, two pairs of shoes, $60, and my job. FML
My drip
Today, the dry cleaner next to my house went up in flames. I went outside to look at the fire, as I looked on in amazement I realized I had dropped off all of my work clothes at the cleaners two days before. I was supposed to pick them up today, but was too lazy to walk the 10 feet to the store. FML
Today, while sorting through my clothes, I found one of my ex's old sweaters. After a lot of thought and difficulty, I threw it out. I felt empowered, until my father later rifled through my trash and claimed the sweater for himself. FML
Gifted
Today, I put all my clothes into two piles. One pile had clothes I usually wear, the other clothes I wanted to donate. When I was done, I put the piles into two jumbo trash bags. I came back a bit later and they both were gone. My mom donated both bags. I have no clothes. FML
Incinerate
Today, while cooking dinner, I managed to set my oven mitt on fire. In my panic, I tried to throw it in the sink, but it landed on a stack of t-shirts, which were lying on the counter. Both the mitt and my favorite Sonic Youth t-shirt now have matching burn holes. FML
Classic
Today, I threw all my clothes into the washer, including my favorite red hoodie. Apparently, I forgot a Kleenex in one of the pockets. I now own a wardrobe of pink, soggy tissue confetti-covered gunk. FML
Check out Mr. Moneybags over here!
Today, I found out that my wife has been getting rid of every single item of clothing I didn’t compliment her on. This has probably cost me thousands already. FML
Fixed
Today, my husband, who repairs appliances for a living, repaired our dryer. One lot of wet clothes later, it caught fire and ruined the laundry room. FML
Pleased to meet you
Today, I got home and found all my things thrown out into the yard, including the stuff from my mancave, which I spent thousands of dollars on. Apparently, my girlfriend stopped for a visit while my wife was home. I’d stupidly given her a key. Turns out my wife called out sick today. FML
Today, I told my boyfriend his shirt and pants did not match and that he should change for dinner. All my belongings are now on the sidewalk. FML

OP, Clearly there is more to the story than this. Please let us in on it.

While he is enjoying that "bonfire" I would enjoy his credit card and replace your belongings.

I hope he didnt forget to grab the beige colored bras while he was at it

Dude! No! That isn't even ok to joke about. Finding a bra that halfway fits takes a hundred hours, and the manufacturers change them so often that you can never just replace one with the same one. Losing a bra that fit is almost as bad as losing a finger.

I understand that, just buy it in a different color tho

Your both nuts. Him for being a pyro and you for having 70 t-shirts.

The T-shirts could be souvenirs. It’s a very common thing to buy when travelling or at a concert.

Translation: you look good in about 2 out of 7 t-shirts and not at all in tank-tops or sweaters. He left you one sweater ironically.

Wow. You have more T-shirts than my whole family combined

Had

Could be "has." Some people just get snow globes or decorative spoons when they go places instead of a T-shirt. My late dad hated t-shirts for some reason.

Having 70 tshirts is hoarder territory. To the person that said, ‘Go buy more’, what the @•*!% is wrong with you!? I wouldn’t burn them, but I’d consider moving out if no kids were involved.

You know, I really feel like there's gotta be more to this story.

I'm really leaning towards YDI because my gut is telling me that you did something first to prompt this reaction. No, that doesn't make him right, but I can't vote FYL when I just don't believe you're really innocent here.

Was this a bet? Have you discussed this before or was it a complete surprise? Are you a bit of a hoarder and these shirts were realllly past their time (that being said, I can imagine that if I started counting mine, it'd probably be 50ish as well, they take so little space, you don't even realise how much you have and only wear like 10 of them)? Is there a chance they were infested with e.g. bedbugs or some other sort of a validish explanation? If none of these are the case, this sounds like a toxic man and a toxic relationship and get out!

While it is tempting to burn all your possessions when you find one bedbug in them, most people just wash and dry their clothes at high temperature. Also, it it was bedbugs, hubby's clothes should be in the bonfire along with his wife's and the mattresses shall be the first items to burn. It's definitely not bedbugs, and this guy is a controlling heinous anus.

Should have talked to you, but seventy ******* shirts is ridiculous.

Not if you travel a lot or go to concerts all the time and that’s what you get as a souvenir.
