Today, while housesitting my neighbor's dogs the phone rang. I answered it and a voice said, "Stop checking your Facebook and take care of my dogs. They look like they need to go out." FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I went to check if my neighbours were home to return their dog, having looked after her for a few days. I looked in the window and the place was empty. They'd moved house and stuck us with their dog. FML
Today, my neighbor let me know that they've been taking care of my cats while I was away, including letting them in and out of my house. I don't own a cat. FML
Today, I heard someone calling my name. It was my neighbor. Turns out they named their dogs after my mother, my sister, and me. FML
Today, while on vacation, I called my home phone to check the messages. Someone answered. FML
Back to square one
Today, I was babysitting for my neighbors. Their 5 year-old had finally fallen asleep at 11 after two hours of stories and songs. No sooner had I tiptoed out of the room did I realize that my phone had dropped out of my pocket onto the bed. It was ringing. It was their mother checking in. FML
Today, I found my dogs freezing outside. My neighbor was supposed to watch them while I was away, and on my way home I called to let her know she should let them have a quick walk. She thought I'd be home soon enough that she wouldn't have to let them back in. It was minus 10°C out. FML
Help!
Today, my pregnant wife paged my emergency line at work. Thinking she was in serious danger, I raced home and found her hysterically crying. When I asked her what was going on, she replied, "The dogs won't stop barking!" FML
Today, I came home to find a window broken and my neighbours searching inside my house. Apparently, they'd heard a small child asking for help inside my house. I recently taught my dog to "talk." FML
Today, my dog was barking at a squirrel in the yard. I opened the door to let him chase the squirrel. I went to look at the dead squirrel and found out it was the neighbor's chihuahua. FML
Get back here
Today, my dog somehow figured out how to open the sliding glass door while I was taking a nap. I woke up to a text from my neighbor, saying, “Your damn dog is running around at the park annoying a bunch of strangers for food. You might want to come and grab her.” FML

report them for spying.

It's their house and their property... They can do whatever they want with it! They can spy all they want. It's not invasion of privacy if they ask someone to watch their house and dogs. It's perfectly legal. Their house, their rules.

Dumbest comment of the day award goes to.... *drumroll* 15!

15, you can't report people for "spying" on their own home...you can however be FIRED for not doing the job you were paid to do instead of playing on the Internet.

Hmm... Odd. And creepy. I wouldn't work for them anymore- even though you aren't really working.

The call is coming from inside the house!

I'm a dog person . Someone is helping me out by staying in my home and looking after my dogs is good for me. If the labs don't get a walk and that's their biggest issue I'm cool with it. If you want to dictate how your pets are cared for, pay the empty house insurance and kennel fees + activities.

Facebook isn't going anywhere; the OP could have waited. Now he looks incapable of handling responsibility.

OP probably checked Facebook multiple times for the day, hence the neighbors comment.

Good thing you were only on facebook and not on some animal pornography site.

Sit on the house, then sit on the dog. *srsface*

I think a lot of you are missing the point of the FML. She found out in a creepy way that she was being spied upon. Often when people house sit, they basically live at that house for that period of time, so just because she checked her facebook doesn't mean she wasn't doing her job.

Thank you! I totally agree with you! I think most people don't understand the point of the FML either! I would be so creeped out..

That's extremely creepy, but I guess they have a right to have spy stuff set up in THEIR house. Some people don't have respect for others houses, which makes it hard to find someone to trust, so FYL. But take the dog out before it ***** on the floor, man.

So they a a nanny cam. Or in this case a dog cam. But take care of the dogs ok.

Your neighbors seems slightly neurotic OP. It's not like the dogs are human children that need tending too constantly. I wouldn't watch their dogs again if I were you. They can afford cameras in their house, let them pay for a kennel boarding.
