Today, while driving across country, my car broke down while in the middle of nowhere. I had it towed to a mechanic in the nearest town. While he fixed the car, I went to get lunch. The only restaurant in town was an old-fashioned drive-up diner. They wouldn't serve me because I wasn't in a car. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, my car broke down on the highway, and I had to call for a tow truck. It finally showed up, only to break down too less than a mile later. Cue nearly freezing to death while we waited for help to arrive for the both of us. FML
Today, my car broke down. I pulled to the side of the road to call a tow truck. After waiting what seemed like hours, the tow truck showed up, and then ran into the back of my car. FML
Today, I was driving home through the middle of nowhere when a screw punctured my car tire. I arrived at the town's only auto shop to find that it had closed early. Frantic, I dialed the emergency number listed on the shop's locked door. On the other side of the glass, a phone began to ring. FML
Today, my truck broke down in the middle of nowhere, and the only help available was a farmer with a mule. FML
Today, I ran out of gas while driving, and had to call a tow truck. I drive a tow truck. FML
Today, I was driving to a gas station because I'd noticed I was almost on empty. Literally a block away from the gas station, my car broke down in the middle of an intersection, and I had to push my car to the side of the road, only to be questioned by police for "suspicious behavior." FML
Today, my car broke down on my way home from university. I tried calling for help, only to realise my phone had completely run out of charge. Luckily, I had passed a police station so I decided to walk the 10 minutes down the road to ask for a phone. When I got there, the station was closed. FML
Today, I took my car into the shop to get a minor problem fixed. I left several hours later, without my car. Why? The mechanic crashed it while out on a test drive to make sure he'd fixed the problem. FML
Today, after driving 900 miles, the tongue on my trailer broke ten miles away from home. I was stuck on the side of the road for 3 hours. FML
Today, my minivan broke down on the side of the highway. I'm out of work and can't afford a cell phone, so I resorted to standing at the back of my van holding a "HELP" sign. About an hour went by, in which time I was passed by a cop car, a firetruck, and a car that said "Roadside Assistance." FML

That sucks, man. Were there any convenience stores around at least where you could get a microwave burrito? They should have just welcomed the extra business, especially in this economy. A little off topic, but I always wanted to go into a drive thru in one of those Barbie cars...see if they actually serve me.

This has happened to me before, sorta. When I was waiting for the harry potter book release with some friends, they sent me to get food and they held my place in line. I went to Arbies and only the drive-thru was open, but they wouldn't let me get anything becuase I wasn't in my car, so I had to walk back to the Barnes and Noble, get the car, and come back to get my food. So yeah all that say that this could actually happen.

I will bitch the shit out of them and not move till they let me order my food. Drive-thru is for lazy people that dont' want to get out the car. But If the store is not open I buy at the drive-thru dont' see why they wont' let you. They make money why would they care. I try that before and they let me.
