Today, while at my aunt's funeral, my grandma who has terrible memory loss asked me whose funeral we were at. I had to explain to her that her daughter had died. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, at my grandmother's funeral, my senile grandfather kept asking me "Where's granny? I've been looking for her, but I can't find her." FML
Today, my mom asked me to help pick out clothes for my grandma to wear in her casket. I didn't know she'd died. FML
Today, after mourning and making my girlfriend cancel her big birthday party, I found out my grandma didn't actually die. FML
Today, at work, I served a customer who looked so much like my grandma that I thought it actually was her. Then I remembered she died 6 months ago. I had to serve customers with a smile on my face while choking back tears for the rest of the day. FML
See you around, then
Today, at the end of my great grandmother's funeral, her daughter (my grandma) told me and my mother that she doesn’t have a reason to come back and visit anymore, and that everyone in her life is now gone. FML
Nice try
Today, I told my boss that my grandma died to get a day off work, but then my grandma showed up at the office looking for me because she wanted to go shopping. FML
Today, I was at my grandma's funeral. While giving the eulogy, I accidentally mixed up "You will be missed" and "You won't be forgotten" and instead said "You won't be missed." FML
Today, I was standing in the parking lot with my sister, after my aunt's funeral, when my grandma walks up and says to my sister, "You're the one going places in life, I'm proud to have you as a grand daughter." She then looked at me, and walked away. FML
Come on, dude…
Today, I was at my mom's funeral. My sisters and I were sitting in the front row. The funeral director, whom we had met with twice before, was going around greeting everyone. When she got to us, she asked where our mom was. Seriously? FML
Unforgettable
Today, I was mistaken for an employee at my grandmother's funeral. There were only twelve of us there, all family. FML

I have long been of the opinion that there are some people who just hit the 'you deserved it' button at every single FML they read. Anyway, that must have been very sad for you.

That must have been tough to do.. Sorry Op.

How does op deserve this? I'm sorry for your loss. I can't begin to imagine having to do that. I couldn't break someone's heart once much less a second time

In some ways her memory loss could be a blessing in disguise. No parent should have to bury their child and the fact that she can't remember that her daughter has died might make it easier on her. I love my daughter more than anything and that's something I'd be glad not to have the memory of.

Ouch, that's rough. I hope she doesn't keep asking you, and I'm sorry for your loss.

This is the saddest FML I've read so far.
