Today, we finally got wireless Internet. My mom won't let us open any doors or windows in fear that it might "let the Internet out". It's 103 degrees in here. FML

Today, my roommates keep opening my bedroom door to "let the WiFi out." FML
Today, I visited my mom because I don't see her much due to her living 30 minutes away from me. They just recently fixed their AC. A few hours before I was about to leave, it broke again. I tried to be patient but it heated up to over 80 degrees inside, and I'm really sensitive to heat. Thankfully they weren't offended. FML
Today, I left the windows open because I live in Florida without air conditioning because the asshole landlord won't fix it. There was nice cool air from the rain. I've killed about 100 flying ants that have made their way inside. Now I have a hot house with closed windows and flying ants. FML
Today, my parents canceled the Internet at our house because they view it as a "passing fad." FML
Today, as I have my entire life, I live in the south. However, our AC decided to break and now it's 91 degrees inside the house, even with fans on and the windows open. FML
Today, in the middle of this heatwave, my mom has a fan in her bedroom and her precious dog has two fans pointing at her dog bed, which she apparently needs because she could overheat, poor thing. Meanwhile, I have zero fans in my room and can't sleep from the heat, but I get told to just deal with it. FML
Today, my mom made me go shopping with her. It was freezing out, but she didn't wear a coat, boasting that she doesn't feel the chill like I do. By the time we drove home she was whining about freezing to death, and now I'm stuck in a house whose heating is set to "inferno". FML
Today, I returned home to find out that my new and very expensive computer had overheated. I confronted my mom, and she told me that she had covered up the fan because she didn't like the noise. FML
Today, my dad got a warning from our ISP for going well over their fair usage limit. I barely use our wifi, and I keep telling him he should password-protect our router to stop people leeching our Internet. He's blaming me anyway, and says I'm grounded until January. FML
Today, the company I work for decided to "go green" and stopped using the air conditioner to cool down the office. It is currently 81 degrees at my desk. FML

It's like the thing with the fridge. If you leave it open the cold goes out and it takes more energy to keep it cold. Same goes for wireless internet.

You know what, OP? Tell your mum to keep the Internet on a leash. Teach it how to sit, stay and play dead. If it's good, let it out once in a while. (I tried to be nice. It wasn't appreciated. Therefore, you will only get sarcastic humour from me.)

i assume your motherbisnt tech SAAVY at all...let her speak to a bestbuy representative herself, about that issue...they should convinve her! Meantime go stick your head in the deep freezer. lol thats what i do

Wow!! Really? Tell your mom that an IT Specialist for the united states military said that was freaking idiotic. You can't lose signal through the windows. You can lose signal from like floresent lights and refridgerators. Crazy thing like that.
